Every living moment we are in relationship.
Therapy provides us the opportunity to slow down and to evaluate our relationship to self, others, and the greater world we live in.

Everyone deserves the chance to build the life that they want.

I have experienced profound transformation in my own life and I know that counseling can change the way we experience the world.

Effective therapy can deepen relationships and open doors we never could have imagined. I am extremely passionate about facilitating forward movement in others’ lives. The process of change absolutely fascinates me; the impact of healing and growth on the spirit can be profound.

The journey begins with making sure we are a good fit. At the center of our work, the relationship between therapist and client becomes a vehicle for the process of healing and change. As a therapist, I am here to advocate for this change.

I hold a master’s degree (M.A.) in Marriage and Family Therapy from Lewis & Clark College and a bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in psychology from the University of San Diego. I completed a year-long counseling internship at M.E.T.A. Counseling Clinic and have completed the Hakomi Pro Skills Module, Attachment Module, as well as Comprehensive Training Module with M.E.T.A. Training Center. M.E.T.A. stands for Mindful Experiential Therapy Approaches and you can find more information about them here.

Outside of the office, I love to spend time with my wife and family. I can often be found biking on side streets or foraging for edibles in our garden. I look to music and surfing for my creative expression, find inspiration in visual arts, and enjoy a balanced serving of NPR.

i work with individuals

Some individuals are looking to overcome chronic stress, anxiety, fatigue or depression. Individual counseling can take on many different forms and paths. At times, clients may choose to untangle challenging elements of their past, work through grief and loss, or face the aftermath of a recent event that has been disruptive to their equilibrium. Healing, change, and transformation look different for everyone. Being our best self is possible, but often it requires the invitation of a new perspective to help alter old patterns or ignite the change we seek.

i work with couples

Couples can care for each other very deeply and not always know how to comfort each other when life gets stressful. In high conflict or times of disconnection, couples often lose sight of their choices and find themselves stuck in rigid patterns. In a safe environment, I provide an opportunity for couples to utilize alternate strategies of communication,  experience new ways of expressing needs, and opportunities to celebrate strengths and connection that already exist. Couples can learn to love and support each other more clearly and effectively.
